Container Project Instructions

Thank you very much for your interest and desire to support our Cuban brothers and sisters by being part of the "AMA to Cuba" container project 2023.

Our goal is to send approximately 10 Tons of food, Medicines and Personal Hygiene Products to bless 300 pastoral families, the elders at the Baptist Home, and people in need. And this year we have been given the opportunity to load a container at Envision Miami.

How can you help?:

​

I. Through donations of funds that would be used for:

Purchase of pallets of food as rice, beans, powder milk and cooking oil.

Container and transportation costs. The estimated costs are $6000.00 USD.
Rent a truck to move the donations to Miami.
Costs at Customs in Cuba.
Transportation costs to deliver products throughout the provinces of Cuba.

II. Sending donations of food, medicine and hygiene items directly.
Churches in South Florida can bring their donations to Envision Miami. (Drop off date, September 8th)

White Rice (in no more than 5 pounds bags)
Black beans, red beans, chickpeas, split peas (in no more than 5 pounds bags)
Sugar
Salt
Cooking Oil
Dry whole milk
All-purpose Flour
Oat Meal
Corn Starch
Canned food (Spam, tuna, chicken, meat, ham, sardines, etc.)
Canned milk (condensed & evaporated)
Pastas (spaghetti, macaroni)
Canned tomato sauce and tomato paste
Powdered seasonings (garlic, onion, cumin, pepper, complete seasoning, etc.)
Powdered Chocolate
Cereal
Cookies and Crackers


Medications:
Antibiotics (tablets, cream and eye drops)
Antihistamines
Pain relievers and fever reducers (tablets and creams)
Medicines for children and infants (to treat cold, flu, pain, fever, allergies, etc)
Anti-inflammatory
Antiparasitics
Scabicides
Blood pressure medications
Heartburn Medications
Diabetes medications
Fungicides
Vitamin C
Multivitamins
Cold/Flu Relief medications
First aid kits
Thermometers
Antiseptic Solution
Cotton, gauze, band-aids, gloves
Aspirin, 81 mg and 325 mg

Instructions for product packaging: 

  1. Pack the products preferably in Small or Medium boxes. 

  2. Boxes must be weighed and not exceed 50 Lbs each. 

  3. Only one product of its type should be packed in each box. Food cannot be mixed with medicines or personal hygiene products. If it is necessary to mix more than one type of food item in a box, the amount of each product inside must be specified on the outside of the box. 

  4. Each box must be labeled outside with the following information: Church name (Initials), box #, Item, quantity, and weight. 

  5. It is recommended, for a better identification of the boxes upon arrival in Cuba, to identify the outside of each box with the letter A using a blue or red spray paint. Each church must prepare a packing list with the following information: Product, box #, quantity and weight.
